Katharine McPhee, 36, officially confirms she is expecting a baby with husband David Foster, 71, as she hints at gender with blue coat
The singer, 36, who had been spotted for months with a baby bump, finally announced her pregnancy on her Instagram account on Wednesday.
The photo captured Katharine caressing her bump beneath a sky blue coat, suggesting she may be expecting a baby boy.
Katharine captioned the photo with two blue heart emojis surrounding a monarch butterfly.
Instantly, fans flooded her comments section with messages of congratulations.
Katharine appeared peaceful as she posed in her dining room draped in a sky blue coat that flashed a hint of leg.
Not letting isolation stop her from looking her best, the mom-to-be rocked a bold red lip and perfectly curled waves.
While the photo marks the first time Katharine has posted a picture of her bump to social media, the singer appeared to hint at her pregnancy in a cheeky way back in October.
The Smash actress had just received a gift from Aperol Spritz with cocktail-making instructions, prompting her to make a rather telling remark hinting at her pregnancy. Won’t be drinking this for a while,’ Katharine said. ‘Wink, wink. But I’m so excited.’
People broke the news of Katharine’s pregnancy back in October.
The child will be Katharine’s first and David’s sixth.
Music executive David has five daughters and has been married five times, whereas Katharine was only married once before to actor Nick Cokas.
The couple said ‘I do’ at the Armenian Church of St Yeghiche, South Kensington in London on June 28, 2019 after two years of dating.
Marking their one year anniversary, Katharine posted a photo from their wedding day onto Instagram over the summer.
‘A year ago today I married the love of my life. Thank you for always loving me and inspiring me in all aspects of my life. I love you. Here’s to the future!’ she gushed
